we're getting married!

In September 2021, while celebrating our 8 year anniversary, we were having a picnic at Sunset State Beach. This was actually one of the first places that we ever camped at together! The day was perfect, blue skies, sunny and warm with a light breeze. After enjoying a picnic of pepperoni, cheese, crackers and fruit, we got cuddled up with our dogs Fang and Rocky. We were in a cozy dog pile, listening to the sound of the waves crash against the shore, when Jesse held out his hand and showed me the ring! He said "Wanna marry me?", I was beyond surprised! I said "Of course!" and we hugged each other, with our two boys sandwiched between us. We smiled, cried, laughed and held one another on the beach, fully taking in the moment and all it's beauty. We had the most loving day together, toes in the sand, sun warming our skin, salty fresh air. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect proposal!
