WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Saturday, August 6th, Ryan made the 5 hour drive to Emerald Isle, NC to surprise Karson! She had absolutely no idea he was coming to the beach! She was going with her family and she thought he was going to be too busy with work to make it. As sunset neared, her family approached the beach before she did (they were in on it). When she arrived they convinced her to take a family picture with her facing the opposite direction he was hiding. Then Ryan saw it.... rain was moving in fast from the ocean! He thought to himself 'Oh no! This is unreal timing! We are all going to be drenched through this.' The rain arrived and he looked from a distance as he was was afraid she would get fed up with the rain, leave the beach, and the whole plan would be ruined. Like a scene from a movie, he sprinted down the beach as rain pelted his face. The rain was hitting his eyes so hard, he began to struggle to see where she was! With the rain still falling, he got behind her family and posed in the family picture with her having absolutely no idea of him being there. After the picture was taken, he stepped behind her and touched her back to make her turn around. The look on her face was indescribable. She was surprise, happy, and dumbfounded all at once. As soon as she saw him in a suit with roses, she knew what was about to take place. He handed her the flowers, pulled out the ring box, and said everything he wanted to say. Thankfully, the rain came to a sudden stop as he began talking. He kneeled down, opened the box, and asked that famous question. To which, she said yes! There are no words to express how awesome this day was! There were so many memories made in the moments leading up to the proposal and even throughout. We have prayed that the Lord would show us our direction and paths in life and we couldn't be more thankful that our two paths are going to become one!
