We met through an online dating app and talked for about a month before we finally met up at a restaurant in San Antonio called Whiskey Cake. We kept hanging out after that first date and I think we both realized we were perfect for each other. Not long after that we were spending every waking minute with each other and we wouldn’t have it any other way to this day!

Out of all years we met in 2020 the year of the COVID pandemic, the year we were not supposed to be coming into contact with people lol another reason we knew it was just meant to be. On October 3rd of 2020, a couple of months after seeing each other, I asked Karos to be my girlfriend and she said yes!!

Jose decided he wanted to take me to Cancun for my birthday at the timeshare he shares with his parents. He convinced me one of the theme nights would be a romantic theme and to pick out a nice dress to take photos in at the hotel. I was so excited but I had no idea what he had in store. He called a photographer in Mexico and set up a romantic dinner at the hotel with the staff. The funny thing that happened was in the pool I looked in his eyes and thought this is my forever person and said “will you marry me” and he was shocked as he was about to propose in 2 hours! We got ready and he had to give the ring to the photographer because he couldn’t hide it in his pants pocket. The receptionist called to let us know that the photographer was there but Jose yelled for me not to answer the phone because he was so frustrated with the hospitality as they hadn’t refilled our fridge. I let it go and I’m glad I did or the whole surprise would’ve been spoiled! We get to the beach and the photographer was ready for us. I asked where all of the other hotel guests were that were participating and he told me we were early and get to be the first ones for pictures. Can you believe I still didn’t know? Then as we took pictures they staged it so that Jose would be kneeling and I turned around and my dreams finally came true. I could not have been more happy and surprised! The perfect dream proposal! I’m so thankful for everything he planned for us
