Flight

United, Delta, American, or Southwest - Fly to Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE)

You will initially need to book a flight from your choice of departing airport to BZE. Many airlines fly to this airport, the airlines with the most flight options will be United, American or Delta. Southwest has added flights from certain airports as well! Round trip flights will typically cost between $300-$400 per person, but there are some cheaper flight options out there if you do some digging.

Belize City Airport (BZE) to San Pedro (SPR) via Tropic Air

Scout and I, as well as most of his family that have traveled to San Pedro have used tropic air to travel from BZE to SPR. This is a very short 20 minute flight with beautiful views of the reef. The plane is very small (typically seats about 15 passengers) so it is important to keep in mind regarding luggage size. Our experience was great in these planes and the pilots are experts at flying in this environment! Use the promo code for 10% off. Travel Note

Water Taxis - Belize Express

There is also the option to get to San Pedro via water taxi from Belize City, which costs about $30 USD and is a 1 hour and 30 minute boat ride. **This option cannot be booked before 120 days out**They do run on a schedule which is posted on their website so you will need to book incoming flights to BZE accordingly. They offer a taxi service directly from BZE to the Marine Terminal where the boat is waiting (25 minute drive), which costs $25 USD, and this is booked through their website when you book the water taxi as well. Water Taxi To Resorts

Most resorts will supply a water taxi to pick you up directly from the Tropic Air airport when you land. Upon booking your resort, you can request this service if it is not already included with your stay. If you are staying at an AirBnb or Vrbo on the island, then the golf cart rental is going to be the best option for transportation.

This is where we will be having our rehearsal dinner, the hotel restaurant is so delicious and they have incredible views as well. Located conveniently down the beach from Matachica where our Ceremony and Reception will be held, it is about a 20 minute walk, or 4 minute drive via golf cart. Nice hotel option just a few miles up the road from Matachica Resort.

AirBnB Ambergris Caye

Attached is a link to all the stays available during our wedding weekend in Ambergris Caye. Keep in mind that Matachica is on the north end of the island, about 5 miles north of San Pedro Town, so stays that are father north near the resort will be the most convenient for getting to/from the Ceremony and Reception.
