Petoskey State Park
We visited Petoskey State Park on our trip up north in August 2023! A 10-minute drive from the Perry, enjoy the sandy beaches and views of Little Traverse Bay. The the water is at its warmest in August!
Day Trip to Mackinac Island
Mackinac Island is a quaint, car-free getaway known for its horse-drawn carriages, scenic bike paths, and famous Mackinac Island fudge. One of its highlights is the iconic Grand Hotel, home to the world’s longest porch and timeless historic charm. From The Perry Hotel you can take a 45-minute drive to Mackinaw City, or a scenic 55-minute drive over the "Mighty Mac" (Mackinac Bridge) to St. Ignace. Once parked, you'll board a Shepler's or Star Line ferry for a beautiful 15–30 minute ride across the water to the island.

Ride the Little Traverse Wheelway
Bicycle/walk/rollerblade the Little Traverse Wheelway from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix. The paved, 26-mile trail leads through beautiful parks, elegant Bay Harbor, the Petoskey waterfront, and historic Bay View.
