We’re Getting Married!

Derrick sent me a message on POF, after weeks of talking, he asked me if I would meet him for dinner at Mission Taco. After he got done having a date with someone else (inside joke) I met up with him for a late night happy hour, drinks, and a walk around the Delmar Loop. 4 hours later I had to leave because I had to work early the next morning thinking I would probably never see him again and Derrick went home knowing he was going to marry me after that first date.

Fast forward almost 3 years later...we took a bunch of road trips, we moved in together and took a 2 week trip of a lifetime to Japan and China. Before we left for Japan, Derrick bought a ring and asked my dads permission to marry me. Thursday June 20th, 2019 we went to dinner with some friends of ours to the restaurant Gonpachi where they filmed "Kill Bill". After dinner he surprised me and got down on one knee with a ring. Of course I said YES!
