The museum is housed in a white marble building that was built in the 1930s to serve as Nashville's main post office. As a non-collecting museum, the Frist does not have a permanent collection; rather, the museum focuses on creating exhibitions as well as securing traveling exhibitions from around the country and the world.
Printer's Alley is a famous alley in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, between Third and Fourth Avenues, running from Union Street to Commerce Street. The portion of the alley between Union and Church Street is the home of a nightclub district that dates back to the 1940s. Walking distance from Hotel Indigo!
The Parthenon in Centennial Park, in Nashville, Tennessee, is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. It houses a lovely museum, also. Our favorite park to visit if the weather is nice.
The Gulch is an upscale neighborhood known for its chic hotels, high-end fashion boutiques and trendsetting restaurants. We end up here everytime we're in Nashville. Highly recommend visiting this area.
