Sean and I, both, have been going to Camp Northward (Falmouth, KY) since we were 5yrs old. We didn't officially meet until Jr. High Week of Wilderness Camp in 2009. We remained friends over the years, attending camp together nearly every summer. Fast forward to summer 2014, Sean worked on camp staff and I volunteered at four sessions of camp. All summer, we went out of our way to talk to each other. By the end of July we were texting each other daily. Our first semester away at college started, and we called, texted, or snapped each other every day. We started dating October 12, 2014. Sean asked me to be his girlfriend by leaving a sweet note on my car while we were at Sr. High Impact at Camp Nothward. From then on, we had a long-distance relationship living anywhere from 3hrs to 13hrs away from each other. Since January 2018 we have lived in the same zip code, which has been a blessing. On July 26, 2019 I drove over to Sean’s house in Brooksville to meet him for dinner. I open the door to find photos everywhere: on the counters, on the walls, and on the tables. Every photo we had ever taken together or sent to each other was laid out in his house. I continue walking through the house and find the dining room filled with balloons, and a table covered in photos with a scrapbook on top. I open the scrapbook to find our relationship milestones put in order through pictures. I get to the last page, and the note reads “All these pictures are just a snapshot of our adventure together… Turn Around.” I turn around and he is on one knee with a ring box in his hand. Of course, I said “yes” and the rest is history.
