We met at Anchor Allies on Shore Drive. We sat across the corner from each other. He was eating dinner and I ordered a scotch. He asked me “If I was classy or a disaster?” I told him “it depends on the night” and the rest is history!

Our first summer together Tammy (Cory’s Mom) and I took Corbin, Kash, and Austin for a walk on the beach while Cory was working . They boys found an intact oyster shell and Kash said that Cory should give me a ring out of this shell. I smiled and said how sweet and that would be perfect, one day when we were ready. Tammy took that oyster shell and kept it safe with out telling us. She gave it to Cory and told him it was the shell from that day. He then held on to it for a few years and somehow managed to keep me from finding it while we were under the same roof! Anyone who knows how nosey I am knows this is pretty impressive! On New Years Day 2019 we were working in the garage together and he asked me to grab a pen out of our Red Jeep. Now for those that don’t know I’m in love with our red jeep it’s my favorite and the vehicle I drive for work. So there is always six or seven pens in the cubby on the dash. So I reach in grab a pen and hand it to him… he looks at me and says not this one, it’s s blue ink pen so I assume he wants a black one. I reach back in and grab him another pen this time black ink…. He looks at it and says not this one. Mind you it’s New Year’s Day, I’m a little let’s just say under the weather from the night before so I’m annoyed, I’ve climbed in the Jeep twice at this point and he is being picky over s PEN! He asks really nicely for me to grab him my work pen with the stylist on it. So I climb back in the Jeep and actually look at the dash to find the right pen…. When I actually look there is an oyster shell on the dash I pick it up and turn to ask him about it…. He is down on one knee outside the jeep door and I’m not sure what he said next all I know is I immediately realized what was in the shell and about knocked both of us out saying yes and jumping in his arms in truly “graceful” Karly manor!
