Our favorite hike: White oak Canyon Falls
This is one of our favorite local hikes — super scenic with gorgeous mountain views, lush forest, and a few beautiful waterfalls along the way. It can be a bit challenging, especially for beginners, so we recommend doing just the first half or a shorter section for a more relaxed experience. Totally worth it for the views!
Devils Backbone Camp
Just a short drive away, this local favorite has great beer, tasty food, and beautiful mountain views. It’s a perfect spot to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy the scenery during your downtime!
Natural Bridge State Park
If you’re looking to make a weekend out of your trip, we highly recommend visiting Natural Bridge State Park — just about an hour's drive from our wedding venue. Whether you're up for a peaceful nature walk or simply want to take in the breathtaking surroundings, it's a great spot to explore before or after the wedding festivities.
Downtown Mall
While you're in town, take some time to explore the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville. Lined with historic buildings, the mall is home to local shops, cozy cafés, art galleries, live music venues, and some of our favorite restaurants and wine bars. Whether you're grabbing a coffee, doing a little shopping, or enjoying a relaxed dinner, it's the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the local flavor.
