It all happened when Ethan and Karlie were on vacation in Florida. On June 10th, Ethan, Ron, Karlie’s dad, and Chad, Karlie’s uncle were going “fishing.” What they were really doing was setting up the proposal. Karlie and Bridget, her mom were going to meet them after for “beach photos.” This was all a ploy for Karlie and Ethan to be dressed up without giving it away. Once Karlie arrived, she walked through a path to the beach to meet Ron. Ron led her to the proposal spot. He said “You have to follow right behind me because you will sink in the sand some areas.” In reality he didn’t want Karlie seeing the proposal spot. The whole time Ron said “Just wait until you see the fish Ethan caught! I think it is a record.” Once Karlie got close to the spot, Ron had to close her eyes so she didn’t see the “big fish.” Then Ron pushed her into Ethan and the proposal spot. Ethan and the others had set up an arch made out of pvc pipe, decorated with flowers and a heart drawn in the sand with rose petals. Inside the heart was E+K made out of seashells! That was when Ethan got down on one knee and asked Karlie to marry him!!
