We first met on a Friday night in April 2019 at a concert in Washington, DC. From the moment we were introduced, it didn’t feel like meeting for the first time - it felt like reuniting as old friends. A week later, we went on our first official date. We both knew this was something special, and the universe seemed to agree. Our Uber driver’s name that night was Destiny. Our relationship began long-distance, with weekends spent traveling between Pennsylvania and DC. Clay would meet Karlie at the train station with flowers, and the goodbyes were often teary-eyed. Even with the miles between us, we knew we had found something worth holding onto. Eventually, we made our home together in Philadelphia - the city where we realized we wanted to build a life side by side. Life together has been full of laughter, growth, and little surprises. Clay became a Phillies fan, and though neither of us thought we were “cat people,” our two boys, Remi and Louie, quickly proved us wrong. They’ve become the heart of our little family. Now, as we look forward to June 20, 2026, we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding in Philadelphia, the city that brought us together, with the people we love most!
