Artie & Karlie first met in 2021 while working at The Cheesecake Factory in San Jose, where they quickly became friends before either of them realized something deeper was beginning to grow. What started as casual conversations during shifts slowly became the foundation of a connection that felt effortless. Their first official date was at the movie theaters, followed by a stop at the photobooth—something that quickly became a tradition for them. Some of their early dates set the tone for who they are together: playful, thoughtful, and always making space for adventure. One of their favorite early memories was a weekend trip to San Francisco, filled with friendly competition, good food, and the realization that they never wanted their time together to end. From then on, any air hockey table or photobooth became something they simply couldn’t pass up. Their relationship has been filled with moments that mean so much to them—big and small. Each year, Artie visits Karlie’s classroom to meet her students, something that warms her heart more than anything. Karlie also now proudly sits by Artie’s side on game days, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. In the beginning, they were long-distance, but after four months, Artie made the move to Henderson, NV, where they now spend their time discovering local breweries, exploring everything Vegas has to offer, and taking as many trips as possible. Artie then proposed on March 1, 2025 at Valley of Fire, planning every detail with Karlie’s heart in mind—including making sure her parents were there for the moment. The day was filled with picnicking, hiking, and exploring before he led her to Elephant Rock—her favorite animal—where he planned to pop the question. In true “Kartie” fashion, Karlie accidentally almost ruined the surprise by trying to take candid photos of him while he was secretly digging in his backpack for the ring. If anything, the moment just showed how inseparable the two really are. Artie & Karlie are so excited for their future as husband and wife—everything from the small, everyday moments like Friday night grocery shopping, to many more adventures, vacations, and eventually, starting a family. The two cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people who have supported and loved them through it all.
