Do you have any hotel recommendations?

There is a room block being held at the Tru by Hilton Grand Junction Downtown under Reimer/Hyland Wedding. The rooms at the TRU are being offered to you at a $49.00 rate + taxes as well as a $7 parking charge if applicable. You can book online yourself with our booking code: RHW2. Or you can call the hotel at (970)256-1000 to reserve your room. The room block is only being held until July 18, so please make your reservation before then. If you prefer you can pay full price at one of our other hotels on Main Street in downtown Grand Junction: SpringHill Suites, Hampton Inn, or the Fairfield Inn & Suites all on Main Street. Formal. Jacket is optional for men due to being outdoors in the heat for the ceremony😅

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

ENJOY the area: Palisade Peach Festival August 20 from 3-9pm - August 21 from 10am-8pm. Raft/Float the Colorado River (Rimrock Adventures in Fruita). Saturday night rising Texas star Randall King @ Warehouse 2565 $15 advance tickets needed. Orchard Creek Band in the Barrel Series/food trucks Saturday afternoon, free must RSVP. Drive to the viewing station on the National Colorado Monument. Bikers check out the Palisade Plunge. Less than 2 hours to Moab/Arches National Park. Visit some wineries in Palisade for some wine tasting.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. It takes about 20 minutes/14 miles by car from the Tru by Hilton to Orchard River View (the wedding venue).

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

No, sorry! There will be two different dinner options- a vegetarian plate or duet plate with beef&shrimp.
