What should I get the couple?

Answer

One of our goals is to have an eco-friendly wedding. To make this as easy as possible for our guests please consider one of our registry funds. This will also make it easy for you day of, because we are shuttling most guests to and from the venue.

Is it really going to be outside?

Answer

Yes! Only for 15 minutes. We will all meet in inside and then go to the back garden when instructed. This will reduce the time we all have to stand in the cold! make sure to bring hat, gloves, and a warm coat!

What is a Handfasting?

Karli and Taylor have chosen to perform a handfasting as part of their handfasting. You may be asking, what is handfasting? Good question! Handfasting is an ancient custom used long before there were legalities to marriage, and before marriages were performed in churches or synagogues. There was a time when to be seen in public holding hands was a sign that a couple was exclusive to one another and the handfasting ceremony is built around that holding of hands. During a handfasting, the couple holds hands and their hands are symbolically tied together and they say their vows. If you are a fan of the movies Princess Bride or Braveheart, or the series Game of Thrones - They all had handfastings. It might be said that the act of handfasting inspired the terms “Bonds of Holy Matrimony” and “Tie the knot.”
