Olivia
Maid of Honor
Olivia (Karli's younger sister and maid of honor) has known the bride for all 23 years of her life. She met Andrew during the system glitch of 2020, where they quickly bonded over mandatory-in-the-Wies-household jigsaw puzzles with nothing else to do! In her free time, Liv always brakes for garage sales, loves spending time outdoors, and is always up for doing anything and everything with her close-knit group of friends.
Jake
Best Man
Jake has known the groom for 7 years where they met at Camp Wapo and the bride for 14 years since high school. After college, Andrew and Jake became roommates in a Cathedral Hill apartment in Saint Paul. After Jake invited both Andrew and Karli to trivia one week, they became inseparable. Jake could not be more excited to celebrate the couple as Andrew's best man. In his free time, Jake enjoys hiking, trying new breweries, and loving on his cat Oliver.
Steph
Bridesmaid
Steph has known the bride for 25 years, when Karli sat next to her on the bus in kindergarten. They've done everything together since from girl scouts to being college roommates. Steph learned about Andrew after Karli texted gushing about a guy she met and, later that week, met him herself. She had never seen Karli so giddy before and knew that it would be something special. Steph is excited to celebrate Karli and Andrew on their special day where they show the world the love she's had the pleasure to watch grow over the past 4 years.
Garrett
Groomsman
Garrett has known Andrew for a good 7 years. They met while going to school at Luther College in Decorah, IA when they were both up late in the dorms of procrastinating homework their freshman year. Because they host a New Year's Eve party every year, Garrett and his wife Briana were two of the first people to know about Andrew and Karli's engagement on December 31, 2022. Garrett enjoys playing ping pong, napping, and dabbling in piano.
Sarah
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Karli stumbled upon each other via a Facebook marketplace housing ad. They became random roommates during the height of COVID and, after a few months of awkward household interactions, a crazy third roommate, and one unexpected eviction notice, they have been best friends ever since. Sarah and her partner Grace enjoy trying new breweries with Karli and Andrew. In her free time, you can find Sarah napping on the couch, reading a book, and scrolling on the local dog rescue social media pages.
Grace
Groomswoman
Grace is Andrew's one and only groomswoman. Their friendship blossomed over a Busch Light and a heavy couch while moving their gals into their eighteenth floor apartment in Saint Paul. However, coincidentally (?) the roommates were nowhere to be found. Grace and Andrew have since been dubbed the "Boyfriend Friends". Unlike her better half, you will find Grace outside. Some of her favorite activities include hiking, gardening, paddle boarding, and quite literally anything that can be done outdoors.
Alicia
Bridesmaid
Alicia (Andrew's sister) has been in the groom's life since he was born. Though she prayed every night for a little sister, she has made her peace with being given a brother - she got a pretty awesome one and now is so excited to finally have the sister she always wanted! Through Christmases, birthdays, backyard picnics, game nights, and all the little hangouts in between, she has had the privilege of watching Andrew and Karli develop their life together, tackling things like home ownership, new jobs, and uncle and auntie life. Alicia can likely be found chasing after her adorable 1.5 year old son and doing her best to get a giggle out of him.
Chris
Groomsman
Chris has known the couple for 4 years. They met when he started dating Karli's sister and maid of honor, Olivia. Since then, Andrew and Chris have bonded over the Hot One's Hot Wing challenge, annual Wies family cabin trips, and being partners to the most goofy sister duo. Chris is always down for a good time and considers himself the "personality hire" of the wedding party. In his free time, you can find Chris fishing, going for a run, being a low-key movie critic, or hanging out where ever the beer is poured cold.
