Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them. Patrick and I first crossed paths thanks to a mutual friend named Keith. Keith knew Patrick and his dad, Mike, from Planet Fitness. One day, Keith showed me a picture of Patrick, and I immediately thought, “Wow, he’s handsome!” I asked Keith to pass my information to Patrick’s dad so he could give it to Patrick—but that never happened. After a few days, I decided to take matters into my own hands and asked Keith for Patrick’s number. I called him from the pantry at my old job, and we ended up talking on the phone for ten minutes. That phone call was the start of something incredible. Patrick and I have been together ever since, celebrating over three years of love, laughter, and growth since April 1, 2023. Patrick proposed to me during a special family Christmas vacation in Puerto Rico because he knew that I wanted my family to share that special moment with me. That moment captured how deeply we care for one another. Now, as we prepare to say, “I do,” we’re most excited to grow as partners and share the amazing journey that marriage will bring. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with the people we care for most and enter this next chapter hand in hand.
