Oh to be back at CCU for Halloween Weekend. Just shy of a week long bender, dressing up in different costumes every night, and waking up like an absolute zombie for class all week long. Sunday, October 31st, 2021 I (Karli) see this gorgeous girl sitting outside of good ol Coop (a CCU local bar). Have I ever approached a girl before? No. Did I go up to this girl anyway? Oh absolutely! We chatted a little, exchanged a smooch or 2, and went on our Mary way with our friends until my roommate (and now bridesmaid) Molly went back up to Emily and said "So are you going to give Karli your snapchat or number?" Em giggles, gives me her number and says "I better hear from you in the morning" and the rest is history. We went on our first date the first week of November, celebrated our birthdays together, and by that Christmas Em was meeting my family. We moved in together that January in my college apartment and moved into our own apartment in Charleston, SC that April after I graduated college. We fell in love so hard, grew individually and as a couple so much in the past 5 years, and have been inseparable since the very start. 5 years, 4 moves, 2 states, 2 kittens, and insane amount of love later, we are finally here to say "I do" and we wouldn't have it any other way.
