We met in May of 2020. From the first time we hung out, we knew there was an instant spark. We ended up talking until 2 am that night and have been best friends ever since. There were so many jokes made and laughs had (most of the laughing was done by Karley, because I am more funny). Our first date was at the Dairy Queen in Moorhead, and Karley spilt her entire blizzard in the cup holders. After that, she thought for sure I would never talk to her again. By August of that year, I knew that Karley was the one for me and asked her to be my girlfriend. Over the next couple of months, we became almost inseparable, hanging out whenever we could. In May of 2021 Karley decided to bring home the cutest basset hound, Honey. I was unsure about a basset hound at first but quickly fell in love. It immediately felt like a little family. The next couple of years consisted of binge watching our favorite TV shows, hitting the Cowboy Jacks dance floor, late night sweet treats, working out together, and generally just loving being around each other, we both knew that we had found the one. The real test for us was when we lived in a 400 square foot apartment together, even that was still fun ;)! After living in those close quarters, we moved to Grand Forks in the summer of 2023 after Karley was accepted into the Medical School at UND. During a weekend getaway to Winnipeg in March of 2024, I proposed to Karley. We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives together and we cannot wait to see what the future holds.
