Payton and Karleigh grew up as sisters. College and grad school separated them for a few years, but they always found time to visit each other in fun, new cities. They have been fortunate enough to have spent the last few years together in San Diego, even being roommates for a few months at a time. Payton is the incredible mom to Karleigh's favorite little ones, Ada and Theo.
Hayley Cook

Hayley and Karleigh met in kindergarten, while discussing chocolate milk. They have been best friends ever since. Hayley has the Rush family to thank for meeting her husband, Grant! Hayley influenced Karleigh to move to North Carolina, where she hopes to move back to with Andy some day. She is now a loving mom to little Scottie.

Margaret is lucky enough to be a bridesmaid, and is going to officiate the wedding! She and Karleigh are first cousins and have had an unbreakable relationship for 30 years. She has been lucky enough to get to know Andy for the past couple of years. We are so honored to have her marry us! Also no wedding party is complete without the spark from this gal.

Karleigh's new sister-in-law! And her go to for wedding planning. Charity married Kane (Karleigh's sister) in August 2024. We are so glad she has the Rush last name and is another irreplaceable family member.
Hannah Whitesell

Karleigh's Navy PA friend! Hannah was kind enough to reach out to Karleigh as she was brand new to San Diego. They have remained very close for the past 3 years (even being roommates and dog moms together for 1 month) through trials with the Navy and as they grow as fiancee's and physician assistants. Karleigh and Andy treasure their relationship with Hannah and her fiance Dwyer.
Sarah Powell

Andy's sister for the past 30+ years, soon to be Karleigh's sister as well. Sarah and Karleigh clicked right away when they met the first time at Christmas 2023. Since then they have experienced the Indy 500, a second Christmas, and bonding over their excitement for a wedding.
Alycia Clover

Alycia is Karleigh's cousin (married to Austin Clover). Our relationship really grew when Karleigh moved to San Diego in 2022. We have so many great memories out here with family dinners, sleepovers, wine and white claws, our furry friends, and now with little Brooks. Karleigh forever cherishes the listening ear Alycia provides and is thrilled she can stand by her on the wedding day - another Marine Corps wedding to celebrate :)
Cameron Vlahos

Andy met Cameron in 2012 while a Sophomore at Purdue University. Andy had left a jacket at a house during a party and when he went back to get it in the morning he met this dude playing FIFA 2011 (a soccer video game). Andy asked to play a game and the rest is history! Cam and Andy remained best friends through their time at Purdue and have stayed in touch as much as possible in the past decade even with new jobs and new families.
William Powell

Andy met William (Willy) when he was a very young baby. Willy is Andy's older brother by 1.5 years and has been his friend for over 30 years. They lived together for their entire childhood and then for the first couple years of college at Purdue. They have gone on multiple fishing trips, hiked many miles on the Appalachian Trail, attended hockey games, and spent every Christmas together. Even with Willy in Eastern Tennessee and Andy in Southern California they still keep in touch and visit each other as often as possible.
Kane Rush

Kane is Karleigh's younger brother and now Andy's good friend! Kane and Andy met during Christmas vacation in 2023 and instantly bonded. They have spent multiple Christmas holidays together since then as well as an Indy 500 adventure. They have many shared interests and are excited to see what the future brings as new brothers-in-law!
Wilson Batdorf

Wilson is a close friend of Andy's from Purdue. They met in 2011 through their Industrial Engineering club and found they had similar tastes in music. Over the college years they attended many social events and conferences together, and were also in many of the same classes. After college they stayed good friends and went on snowboard trips, attended friends' weddings together, went to Purdue/IU games, and hung out whenever possible. Even though Wilson lives in Colorado and Andy in California, the distance can't keep them apart! You will most likely find Wilson and Andy in the DJ booth together towards the end of the reception.
David Yen

Andy and David met at Purdue in 2011 during a meeting for their Industrial Engineering club. As they progressed through college, David became president of the club and Andy the director of the Grand Prix team (annual Purdue go kart race). Due to budget cuts the Grand Prix team was on the chopping block (Wilson was club treasurer...thanks Wilson). David stuck up for the Grand Prix team, which allowed Andy to drive in the race during his last year! Andy and David have been friends ever since and have gone to multiple friends' weddings and bachelor parties, been on ski trips, explored Las Vegas, and attended many concerts. They have gotten together as much as their work and life schedules allow, and look forward to many more adventures!
David Chaney

Andy met Dave through Cameron (best man) while at Purdue in 2012. During those years Andy, Cameron, Dave, and Wilson could be found any given weekend hanging out at one of their houses, roaming campus, or attending social functions at the local establishments. Dave has always been a great friend and even though they live on other sides of the country, every time they see each other it is like no time has passed!
Daniel Maulden

Daniel is one of Andy's oldest and best friends. They met in high school at The Indiana Academy in Muncie, IN, in 2008. The Indiana Academy was a unique high school since it required students to live on campus in old college dorm rooms. Andy and Daniel bonded through the various social and academic challenges this school presented to them. Their senior year they were inseparable and could be found on many on foot adventures all the way across the town of Muncie. After high school they remained in touch and since then have been on ski trips, camping adventures, and visits to each others' homes. Even with Daniel living in Ohio and Andy in California they still find the time to get together.
