Dublin Airport (DUB)

The largest international airport in Ireland with the most direct flights from U.S. cities. About a 1.5 to 2-hour drive to the Gloster House area.

Shannon Airport (SNN)

A smaller and very convenient airport for western Ireland. Seasonal direct flights from several U.S. cities. About a 1 to 1.5 hour drive to the Gloster House area.

Rental Car

Traveling from the Airport

Renting a car is the most flexible way to reach the Gloster House area and explore Ireland. Both Dublin and Shannon Airports have major rental agencies on-site. Please note that driving is on the left-hand side of the road in Ireland. Private car transfers and taxis can be booked in advance from both Dublin and Shannon airports. Public bus connections exist to the area, but they take longer and typically involve transfers.

Accommodations - On the Shuttle Route

Shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the venue for guests staying in Birr, Roscrea, and along the route directly on the way to the two towns. These locations are closest to the venue (just 10–20 minutes away). Within this area, the most readily available accommodations are Airbnb and VRBO rentals. There are also a small number of local bed & breakfasts, which can be found on sites such as Booking.com.

Hotel

Accommodations - Outside the Shuttle Route

There are hotels and resorts spanning a range of budgets and styles located within approximately one hour of Gloster House. However, guests staying outside the shuttle route will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the venue in advance, as taxis are not always immediately available on demand, and Ubers/Lyfts are not offered in the area.

Parking

On-site parking will be available at Gloster House for those who choose to drive. Cars can be left at Gloster House overnight and collected the next day. Uber/Lyft is not available in the area and taxi availability is limited. We kindly ask guests to plan their transportation safely and responsibly.
