The big day!

Karsen and I met when we were kids, maybe 8 or 9. We didn’t know much about each other, but we reconnected many times before we finally started dating. We met again when Karsen moved to Blue Springs, we started going to school together from 6th grade through junior year of high school. Karsen started a new job at the place I worked. We started talking, hanging out and I began giving him rides to school and work. Not long after, we realized we just clicked so well together.

Karsen took me to Culver's for our first date after work one day. After hanging out for a few weeks, we realized we really liked each other. Karsen started walking me to my classes, we would ride together to school and work and after work we often went and hung out as well. We then made it through high school together, including proms, homecomings, and graduation. Soon after, we decided to move in together. We started renting our own apartment and adopted our first dog together!

After being together for a year and a half, in August 2018, we moved in together into our apartment. In Febuary we adopted 2 guinea pigs from Karsen’s mom, all the way from Arizona! We loved our little apartment, we lived there for about 8 months. Eventually, we thought it was time to get a bigger place. We moved into our first house in April, with Karsen’s sister! Not long after we got 2 more dogs. Then, Karsen had to have a bearded dragon as well. Our life really would not be complete without all our animals. We love them all so much!

Karsen had bought the ring awhile back and kept it at his grandmothers house. He had been planning for awhile!! The day he purposed he took me to a Royals game, which was super thoughtful; because that is where he gave me my promise ring. I thought we were just going to a royals game with some friends. We all rode together and had a great time at the game! At the end of the game, we all went over to take some pictures, or so I thought. Karsen and I went first, and he grabbed my hands and started telling me how happy he was with how our life was coming along, how much he loved me, and how he made me the promise to stand by my side through thick and thin. Just as he did with my promise ring, right there at Kauffman Stadium. Karsen then got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I was so excited I could not believe it! I said YES OF COURSE! Boy oh boy, and he picked out the perfect ring and it fit perfect too! Now onto all the wedding planning!! It was definitely meant to be. I can not wait to spend the rest of my life with my soulmate!
