How We Met! The Couple's Point of View

Best Friends, now Husband and Wife!

If You Ask Karlee: We owe everything to Paradise Valley Community College! I played softball, Jake played baseball and the rest was history. Our friendship grew within the mandatory study hall hours where Jake would surprise me with snacks and Gatorades before practice. I would find myself rushing to the pass time building in order to save Jake a spot next to me and just laugh and talk the entire time. Absolutely no studying got done when us two were together! It was truly the foundation of our relationship where I got to learn first-hand his amazing personality, how easy he can make me laugh, and his passion for the things he cared about. Our time at PVCC helped shape the relationship we have today. From the late-night facetime calls after we both got home from practice, to texting one another constantly, to grabbing lunch at Whataburger after class, he truly was my best friend! I am so grateful to have met him and to now share my life with someone so amazing. Go Pumas! If You Ask Jake: I was a walk-on pitcher at Paradise Valley Community College, going into a new program, and knowing absolutely no one. One day before classes started, I posted a picture of the baseball field on my social media. Karlee reached out to me saying welcome to PV! That was the start of our new friendship. We went on a few dates after that and always hung out during the school day from that moment on. We absolutely hit it off! Whether it was study hall, lunch dates, or just passing by in the halls of the M building, she always knew how to put a smile on my face. I was so glad that I met Karlee when I got to PVCC. We had some great times spent together and I will always cherish those moments.
