We're getting married!

Funny enough Matt and I met through my brother, Trenton. I was still living in Michigan finishing up school and Matt lived in downtown Indianapolis. I came down to Indy to visit my brother and his wife Kalie for the weekend and we ended up going downtown to celebrate my birthday. I knew we were meeting up with one of my brothers coworkers, but like most of his other coworkers I thought he would be married and in his 40's. Little did I know he was only 25 at the time and perfect in every way possible. Matt and I instantly had a connection and started dating a month later. We have been best friends and by each others side ever since and can't imagine our lives any other way.

On December 12th 2024, Matthew and I got engaged! Kalie texted Matt and I asking if we wanted to go to a Christmas light display at Newfields Museum of Art, Matt played it off like he didn't think it would be cool even though he secretly was the one who set this all up! We were all bundled up in coats and carrying our hot chocolate when Matt asked if I wanted to take a picture with him under a beautiful light display. Trust me I thought it was weird too...since when do the men ask to take pictures? After we took our picture I started to walk away when Matt said "wait!" as I turned around he was pulling the ring out of his pocket and knelt down on one knee! Of course I said yes and everyone around us started cheering and clapping!
