What should I wear?

Answer

Church casual that's comfortable in a park. Men, khaki shorts are fine! You will also be able to change before heading to the park.

What if there's a threat of rain, tornadoes, and catastrophic winds?

We'll move our beautiful park reception into the glamorous grade school gymnasium at St. Mark.

If I bring my children, are they invited?

Answer

We love your children dearly, which is why we would love to help you find a quality babysitter from Immanuel Lutheran High School and College for your time of celebration.

How's the parking at the reception?

Answer

Tight. Carpooling from the church is encouraged. The first entrance to Rod and Gun is the handicap accessible drive. Use the second entrance instead which will take you to the main, albeit small, parking lot. Additionally there are several spaces on the small residential road just prior to the main parking lot, with a hidden staircase behind the lone building on the park side, as well as additional street parking and a walking path toward the park by the cemetery. If you mistakenly go to Rod and Gun Club instead of Rod and Gun Park all the good parking spots will certainly be taken by the time you realize you are in the wrong place.

What will be served at the reception?

Answer

We'll be serving brisket sandwiches, wings, broccoli salad, cowboy caviar, and mac and cheese.

What should I bring?

Answer

There is picnic bench seating, but you may be most comfortable in your own lawn chairs. We will have some lawn games. You are also welcome to bring your favorites. Did you know Eau Claire is the Kubb capital of North America?
