West Bloomfield High School Choir October 15, 2009. It was spirit week and Jane’s friend Ilene introduced her to Karl. The next day was Jane’s birthday and Karl approached her to wish her a happy birthday. Jokingly, Karl took the crown Jane was wearing for her birthday and put it on. Jane insisted on a picture (as she usually does) to document this memory. Little did they both know they would be making many more memories from that day forward! Ten years of memories have flown by. Karl asked Jane to marry him on June 29, 2019. He told Jane that his professor would be having a dinner to celebrate his presentation that he would be giving that morning. Jane had no idea that Karl had actually been planning a huge surprise for her that day. While Karl was “giving his presentation,” Jane was out with her mom as she was making sure Jane got dressed up for the dinner. Thank goodness Jane decided to get ready and did not think anything of it! As Jane arrived to the restaurant, she walked down a path to find Karl standing there all dressed up waiting to get down on one knee. Both Jane’s brother Brendan and Karl’s brother Jake were there taking pictures and videos, which they will now have added to the countless memories and adventures they have shared together! Their love story continues as they spend forever together making many more memories as husband and wife!
