Our story began in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020. Karla and Victor’s first conversation started when Victor sent Karla a message on Instagram. It began as simple small talk after all, this was during the peak of COVID but soon turned into something much more. We spent countless hours on FaceTime, phone calls, and messages throughout the week, getting to know each other more and more every day. Those conversations eventually led to our first date at Gloria’s. We were both nervous but so excited to finally meet in person after so many video calls. That first date was truly magical full of endless laughter and an instant, strong connection. It felt as if we had known each other our entire lives. After our first date, we both knew it wouldn’t be the last time we saw each other. We spent four beautiful months getting to know one another, and with each passing day, our bond grew stronger. On Friday, November 13th, 2020, Victor finally asked Karla to be his girlfriend. We were completely in love and still are to this day. From the very beginning, we were so in sync, and we knew what we had was something truly special. As the months went by, Karla and Victor loved going on dates from movie nights and spontaneous adventures to trying new restaurants together. They enjoyed meeting each other’s families, attending family gatherings, and discovering new sides of one another surrounded by the people they love most. As the years went on, Karla and Victor spent three beautiful years together before one special day began their forever! On Thursday, June 20th, 2024, that moment arrived. Karla had planned a trip to Cancún for summer break, excited to experience the beach together for the first time. When they arrived, Victor mentioned that the resort had entered them into a raffle to try one of their new restaurants. To their surprise, they received a call the next day saying they had won! As they prepared for the “exclusive restaurant experience,” the staff told them they needed to be blindfolded to keep it a surprise. Hand in hand, they walked down a hallway laughing and wondering what awaited them. Then, as Victor gently removed Karla’s blindfold, she saw that he was never wearing one. In front of her was a stunning path lined with rose petals leading to a heart-shaped design made entirely of flowers. In that magical moment, in their own private setting, Victor got down on one knee and asked Karla to marry him. It was the most unexpected, heartfelt, and unforgettable moment the perfect beginning to their forever. Karla and Victor have spent the past year planning their special day on Friday, December 5th, 2025 when they will finally say “I do.” They are over the moon with excitement as they prepare to celebrate their love surrounded by family and friends. This is only the beginning of a new chapter one filled with new memories, new adventures, and the beautiful journey of building their life together.
