We're getting married!

Marco and Karissa’s story began the way all modern love stories do — with some flirty Instagram messages, plenty of mutual curiosity, and zero actual plans to meet up. Back in the days of nursing school (Marco) and pharmacy school (Karissa), they knew of each other through mutual friends. There was definitely some “who’s that?” energy going on, followed by a few flirty DMs and the occasional story reaction. Sparks were flying — digitally, at least. But between exams, clinicals, and caffeine dependency, they never managed to meet up in person. Months later, destiny (and carbs) brought them together. Karissa was selling perogies for her graduation fundraiser and decided to shoot her shot — or, you know, sell some dough. Marco happily agreed to buy some… and then took his sweet time actually paying her. After a few reminders, they finally met up to make the perogy exchange happen. Marco was instantly impressed with Karissa’s quick wit and charm, while Karissa was caught off guard (in a good way) when Marco went for the bold move — a first-kiss-right-then-and-there kind of bold move. A few weeks later they were officially dating, and they’ve been laughing, teasing, and indulging in carbs ever since. Now, a few years later, they’ve built a life together full of love, laughter, and two adorable dogs — Barkley and Billie — who are the real stars of their story. Turns out, sometimes love really is just one perogy away.
