We can't wait to celebrate with you here in Maine!

We both signed up to take a course teaching English in Isla Mujeres, Mexico through the University of Maine. While we didn't take much time to get to know each other on that trip, planning a trip back to the island for the following spring break is when we really started to hit it off! We had our very first date at the infamous Margaritas in Orono, Maine and the rest was history.

Jake was on summer break and had been asking me to go on a walk when I got home from work. Ironically, I seemed to have all sorts of excuses to not go on this walk- I was too tired from work, had plans with friends, or it was raining. Eventually, on Wednesday afternoon I agreed and Jake suggested we walk to a point off of Willard Beach, a spot we always loved to visit. It was when we got to the very edge of the point overlooking Portland Headlight where I started to catch on to what was happening. Jake popped the question, I said "yes!", and Luna was annoyed we even stopped our walk in the first place!
