Trent and Karis realize that some of you may not know their story & it is pretty unique! They honestly do not remember the first time they met. They figure it was probably the year 2000 or so and their dads were probably playing basketball together, as they did most Saturdays. The summer of 2009, Karis' mom moved across the street from Trent's mom. They would walk to the bus stop together regularly and were friends throughout junior high and the beginning of high school. Then Karis switched schools, they went off to college and although they followed each other on social media, they did not talk to one another much at all. Karis moved back home December of 2020 and they started seeing each other at their younger sisters’ basketball games. From there, they started texting regularly and their younger sisters noticed and started calling each other in-laws. Karis and Trent were both were like “whoa slow down”, but find it incredibly ironic now. Once Trent and Karis started hanging out, they were pretty much inseparable. They started officially dating in February of 2020 and they quickly realized how much they have in common, how compatible they are, and they fell in love with one another. It also didn’t take long for them to care about with each other's loved ones. In October of 2021, Trent absolutely shocked Karis with the proposal of her dreams on the beaches of Guanacaste, Costa Rica sooo… they cannot wait to have you all come along to visit these same beaches!
