Whether you're looking for a picnic or a paddle board session, Horsetooth Reservoir is the place to go! I recommend going to the Lory State Park side and checking out the coves if you want to get in the water, but the views from the Horsetooth Mountain Park side are outstanding for a picnic and a stroll.

Take a scenic drive up the Poudre Canyon and stop at the Mishawaka for some riverside views and lunch! Odell brews a Mish Ale, available at the Mish only! Give it a try!
This is a northern Colorado hidden gem! If you're down for a longer drive, enjoy the backside of RMNP, free of the crowds. For a short hike to one of the most beautiful alpine lakes, check out Lake Agnes! The hike to American Lakes is a bit longer but well worth the effort.
