Pulling a reverse Brendan – Cody came from Arizona and somehow fell in love with Connecticut. I’ve always appreciated Cody’s sincerity and willingness to do anything for anyone. His Jack of All Trades talents also make him the best camping companion. Believe it or not, backpacking camping with lasagna and risotto for dinner is possible.

Sheena, was originally my neighbor who lived across from my dorm apartments when I was on G street at Purchase College. She had the coolest parties. We got closer after college when we both moved back home to Harlem. I love her feminist views, fun personality, and protective soul. From protesting at the Women’s March to countless NYE parties, ‘Sheena is a Punk Rocker’.

“Ryan” to his family. Every summer Michael came to visit felt like getting a whole month with my best friend. Even though we mostly grew up separately, I’m always grateful for how much we have in common, and for being able to watch him find a wonderful partner in Ali, and seeing his lovely daughter Shea grow.

Raquel is one of the few girls from the dance group that I’ve been friends with the longest and kept in touch always. We’ve danced in choreos together and had crazy fun times at Bolivian parties. She’s outspoken yet fair and always loved that trait about her.
