Our story is a journey that spans miles and cultures. Karina was born and raised in Los Angeles, ultimately trading the West Coast palms for the Philadelphia skyline to start her career as a flight attendant. Meanwhile, Zhao grew up in South Jersey, later moving across the bridge into the heart of the city to pursue his own path with the Philadelphia Police Department. Our worlds collided in Philadelphia’s Chinatown at a lounge called Tango. Zhao hasn’t left her side ever since, and we made our relationship official on February 10, 2024. Our relationship is a beautiful blend of our heritages, bringing together the vibrant traditions of our Mexican-American and Chinese families. Whether we are exploring a new corner of the world or finding the best hidden food gems in Philly, we’ve found that our best adventures are always the ones we take together. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our new chapter with all of you in the city where we’ve built our home. Welcome to our journey!
