FAQs

The Wedding Website of Karina Hernandez and Sean Ryan
Question

How do we RSVP?

Answer

Yay, you received our Save the Date! The RSVP page will be available once formal invitations go out a few months before the wedding. You'll be able to RSVP for both the wedding and welcome party, and select your meal choices then. Stay tuned!

Question

Where should I stay for the weekend?

Answer

We’ll have two hotel room blocks nearby, but we encourage guests to stay wherever works best for them. San Juan Capistrano is easily accessible from surrounding cities like Dana Point, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach, and Irvine, with plenty of hotels and Airbnbs in the area. Since everyone has different travel styles and budgets, we hope this gives you the flexibility to choose accommodations that fit your plans.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We won’t be providing a shuttle, but each guest will receive a $25 Uber credit to use for transportation to and from the wedding. Be sure to look out for the event code on your invitation to use for your Uber ride. Pro Tip: We recommend carpooling with other guests so you can take advantage of the credit for both your trip to the venue and your ride back.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving by 6:00 pm so you have time to get settled before the ceremony begins at 6:15 pm. If you plan to drive, please allow a little extra time for parking.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

The venue does have free parking, but it is limited. To help you plan ahead, we’ve attached a map on the travel tab showing both paid and free parking options nearby.

Question

How do I get to the ceremony area?

Answer

El Adobe has a private entrance on the side of the restaurant that leads straight to the ceremony space. As you arrive, walk as if you are heading toward the parking lot. The entrance will be along that path. We will have signs posted to help guide you.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to dress in formal attire. Suits and ties for gentlemen and midi or long dresses for ladies. Tuxedos and ballgowns are not expected, just polished and celebratory. This goes without saying, but please no white.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors, while the reception will be inside with a retractable ceiling. If the sun is out, it will likely be warm during the day, but temperatures tend to drop once the sun goes down. We recommend layering or bringing a light jacket just in case.

Question

I have a dietary restriction. Will there be food for me?

Answer

There will be vegan and vegetarian selections available during both cocktail hour and dinner. Please share any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Duh.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family. To keep the celebration intimate, we are limiting plus ones. If your invitation lists a guest by name, they are included. Otherwise, we’ve made sure everyone will have plenty of familiar faces to celebrate with!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this night is strictly 21+. We want our guests to feel free to dance to “Unholy” by Sam Smith without worrying about innocent eyes watching.

Question

Will there be a morning-after brunch?

Answer

There won’t be an official brunch. We’re giving ourselves (and all of you) the gift of being hungover in peace. Sleep in, hydrate, and text us your favorite dance floor moment.

Question

Is the welcome party optional?

Answer

Yes, the welcome party is optional, but we will ask guests to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. We’d love for you to join us if you’re in town and want to kick off the weekend together!
