Karina and Kyle met through a mutual friend while studying at Saint John Fisher College. Over the next few months they became close friends who enjoyed each others company. It wasn't until Karina took the initiative to wish Kyle a good first day of his internship that Kyle realized he wanted to be with her. After this, Kyle came over with flowers and candy and asked Karina out on a proper date. They planned on meeting at the Genesee Brew house. Karina (obviously) got lost and Kyle was so worried that he locked his keys in the car. While AAA unlocked Kyles car and got the keys out, Kyle suggested that they go see the High Falls. It was a cold, snowy January night and they probably shouldn't have been going on the bridge. While looking at the Falls, Kyle asked Karina to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!
After three and a half years of dating, Kyle decided that he wanted to propose to Karina and enlisted Reginas help. They emailed back and forth for months to plan out Karina's perfect day. Kyle decided that he would take Karina to a Redwings game on a Tuesday evening with Regina and Manny. They told Karina that they would celebrate their birthday early and go to dinner afterwards. On the day of, Karina was trying to change their plans and was giving everyone a hard time. It took some convincing to get Karina into a dress and to put make up on. While buying the tickets for the game, Kyle realized that there was metal in the engagement ring box and did not want it to set the metal detectors off. While Karina was not looking, Kyle subtly signaled to Regina that she needed to take Karina into the game first. Regina said that she had to go to the bathroom and the both of them went into the park while Kyle stayed back to wait for Manny. They stayed at the game for forty five minutes and then convinced Karina to go to the Brewhouse for a drink before dinner. While walking on the bridge near the High Falls, Kyle proposed at the exact same spot he asked her to be his girlfriend. Karina was shocked! After the proposal, they went into the Brewhouse and fifty of their closest friends and family were there to celebrate!
