We met at the local post office in West Middlesex. Jay was mailing something out and I was picking up a package that had delivered to my PO Box. A brief conversation was exchanged. I thought I would never see him again. When I headed towards my car, there he was waiting for me with a piece of paper with his phone number written on it. He said “Call me sometime”. Hooray for taking chances! A day or two later I texted him which led to our first date.

On March 8th 2018 we signed closing documents on our first home. We made plans to meet Jay’s sister, Amanda, in the evening once we all got off work so she could check out the house for the first time before traveling for the weekend. To my surprise more family members and friends also showed up at the same time. We started taking pictures in our front yard next to the “SOLD” sign and it was then that he got down on one knee and proposed. All I could say was “Are you serious?” Not the most fairytale reaction but it was such a surprise (everyone there was in on it)! Of course I said yes. We couldn’t be any happier to share this special moment in our lives with you!

We hope you’ll be able to join us as we exchange our vows at a formal ceremony at the Helen Black Miller Memorial Chapel in Mercer followed by a reception at the Masonic Lodge in Hermitage.
