Hotel Kennedy

Please email the hotel at info@hkennedy.it In subject write Anniversary for Karina and Davide to book a room with our group discount! Specify if you would like a single or double room and how may people are staying in the room. Room discount includes breakfast, parking, and beach chairs/umbrella. There will be a shuttle from Kennedy on July 11th to our venue. If enough people stay, we can try to get other shuttle services for the other events!

Flight

Catania Airport (CTA)

The airport you will need to fly into is Catania (CTA). It is one hr away from the venue/hotel. It is a beautiful city that if you have time visiting, you should see! You can take a train straight to the hotel if you are choosing to not rent a car.

Rental Car

Rental Cars

If you would like to rent a car you need to purchase an international driving license if you are a non EU resident. You can get it easily in the US at a local triple A for 20 dollars. They will not let you rent unless you have one. Make sure you rent Automatic, if you don't know how to drive manual. It's very important to look for that! It is high season, where everyone from Italy comes to visit Sicily, so parking will be limited around the towns. If you book anywhere like an airbnb or other hotel please make sure they have parking. There will be plenty of parking at our venue for our events, so you will not need to worry.

Train

Trenitalia

This will be the train you will be using if you choose to not rent a car. For buying tickets all around Italy, I advise you to download the app, it can be way easier to buy tickets and if you miss a train you can always grab the next one. If you decide to buy it at the kiosk, you need to make sure you stamp the ticket before you board. They will fine you, if you do not get it timestamped. There is a free shuttle straight from the airport that takes you to the train station Catania Aeroporto Fontanarossa. From there you will take the train to the stop you need to go to. If you are staying at the hotel is would be San Alessio Siculo-Forza D'Agro'. Please make sure there is a train for when you arrive, if arriving late you might need to stay a night in Catania. Some places you can visit just by train are Syrucusa, Catania, Giardini Naxos/Taormina seaside. Reach out to us if you need more info!

Travel Note

What towns to stay in!

The towns you should be booking your hotel/airbnb in are Sant'Alessio Siculo, Santa Teresa di Riva, or Furci Siculo. All these villages are walking distance to restaurants, the beach, and grocery stores. They are all connecting and you can walk everywhere. Santa Teresa di Riva has the most restaurants!
