We’re getting married!

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and safety of those we love most, we decided to postpone our wedding. Please save our NEW date November 6, 2021! We thank you all for your unconditional love, support and understanding during these difficult times. We will be taking this time to brush up on our dance moves and practice our cake eating skills.

It took 3 hurricanes, 1 move and several hundred swipes to make this love story a reality. Back in October of 2017, when Hurricane Harvey deterred Karina's plans to go to Houston a last minute switch brought her to Miami instead. Three weeks later, following a job opportunity, she packed her bags and moved back down to Miami. Meanwhile in Kendall, Damian was getting ready to move out on his own into his very first bachelor pad (little did he know- it wouldn't be a bachelor pad for long.) Both Karina and Damian are extremely hardworking and love their jobs, so much so that their social lives pretty much revolved around those jobs. Karina was constantly traveling or at the office and Damian was either at his office or at the gym. After two months of living in Miami, on a whim Karina downloaded the Tinder app to try and meet people to get her out of the house on the rare occasion she was home. Damian's friends also encouraged him to download the app in efforts to get him out of his shell. A million swipes later and their two profiles finally matched. Damian's opening line? "How's the New Year treating you?" On January 9, 2018 they went on their first date to Lagniappe, a wine bar in Miami, and the two have been together ever since. They talked for four hours straight, sipped on (two bottles) of white wine, and inadvertently stole someones meat and cheese platter (it was an accident we swear!) On April 26, 2018 the two shared the words "I love you" - fun fact: SHE said it first ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Opposites really do attract in this fairytale. Damian’s calm stregth and sensibility balances Karina’s wild spirit and and charisma. The two share a zest for life, an ambition to succeed, an unbreakable bond and of course an obsession with their pup Pretty. They couldn't be more in love and more excited to share their special day with all of their closest family and friends.

On February 8th, 2019, Damian and Karina set off on their first Euro Trip together. It was Damian’s first ever trip to Europe. Visiting Rome and Paris over Valentines Day. Arriving in Rome on the 9th, Damian had planned a romantic evening with a hidden photographer to capture the perfect moment. BUT when you make a plan- God laughs. When the photographer cancelled at the last minute, Damian had to improvise- and BOY was he nervous. (It didn’t help that Karina almost found the ring THREE separate times.) That evening the two walked around Rome to the Trevi Fountain. Legend says if you throw a coin into the Trevi fountain once- you return to Rome, twice- you find true love and the third coin means you’ll get married. Well lucky for Karina, she’s thrown MANY a coin into that fountain and there, in her favorite city with her favorite person (and a crowd of about 150 strangers) Damian got down on one knee and proposed. The couple landed in Rome (after 14 hours of traveling) at 4:00pm and they were engaged by 7:30pm. Can you tell Damian was a little anxious?? After a lovely dinner at Il Chianti the two spent the rest of the trip celebrating their love. They took pasta making courses, they visited Assisi, they roamed the halls of the Colliseum, paroused around the eiffel tower, prayed at Notre Dame, shopped on the Champs Elysees and had the most magical trip.
