We live just a block away and spend a lot of time here. We’ll often grab coffee and bagels from Masseria and Broad Nosh, stroll through the park, people-watch, and sit under the cherry blossoms in the spring. One of our favorite simple NYC joys.
Classic NYC energy — bright lights, big crowds, and something you have to see at least once!
Astitva and I absolutely love Broadway. Our favorite show is The Great Gatsby — we’ve seen it at least five different times and never get tired of it. If you love live theater, seeing a Broadway show is one of our favorite ways to spend a night in the city. Tip: For same-day discounted tickets, check out TKTS at Lincoln Center.
We’re big fans of comedy clubs and love how intimate and spontaneous they feel. We’ve seen some amazing comedians here over the years, including Andrew Schulz and Shane Gillis, along with many others. It’s always a fun night — you never know who might pop in.
Fun, immersive, and unlike any other observation deck in the city. Astitva’s family took me here on my very first trip to NYC, which made it extra special. The views are incredible, and it’s one of the best spots in the city for amazing photos.
Our favorite bagel stop and a weekend staple. The egg breakfast sandwiches are the best. I love mine on an everything bagel with avocado, mayo, and onions, while Astitva’s go-to is a cheddar jalapeño bagel, toasted, with egg, a hash brown, mayo, and mustard. The line can get long, but we promise it’s worth the wait.
Our go-to neighborhood coffee spot. My usual order is an iced latte with almond milk and one pump of vanilla, and Astitva always goes for a London Fog (tea with steamed milk). And the pan au chocolat here is hands down the best I’ve ever had — a must if you stop by.
We had to include this one for the Gossip Girl steps. On my very first trip to NYC, I made Astitva bring me here so I could sit at the top of the steps like Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf. Iconic photo op — and an amazing museum to explore while you’re there.
