For those who don’t know our story, Andrew and I met in the summer of 2018 while attending community college. At the time, I was finishing my last semester, while Andrew was just beginning his journey there. Our classes happened to be right next to each other as his class ended, mine was just starting, so I would often wait outside before class began. One day, as Andrew walked past me, I heard him say, “Nice legs.” Completely caught off guard, I awkwardly replied, “Thanks?” not really knowing how to react to what I thought was a compliment. The next day, I secretly hoped he would talk to me again, so I made sure to get ready early and arrive before his class ended. Sure enough, I saw him walk by… but this time, he didn’t say anything. I remember feeling confused as I watched him reach the end of the hallway until suddenly, he turned around and came back. When he approached me, he asked me to take down his number and text him. As you can imagine, since we’re here today, I definitely texted him. From that moment on, we stayed in touch and continued building our connection. Then during COVID, when the world slowed down and everything was on lockdown, we grew even closer and officially started dating. That chapter of our lives eventually led to one of our greatest blessings our beautiful daughter, Aria, who was born in November 2022. I truly believe in God’s timing, and our daughter has been such a blessing to us both. She has taught us love, strength, patience, and what it truly means to grow together not only as parents, but as partners. Now, we are beyond excited to begin this next chapter and get married in front of God and all of the people we love most. We are so grateful to celebrate this special moment with all of you. Para quienes no conocen nuestra historia, Andrew y yo nos conocimos en el verano del 2018 mientras asistíamos al colegio comunitario. En ese momento, yo estaba terminando mi último semestre y Andrew apenas comenzaba. Nuestros salones estaban uno al lado del otro; cuando su clase terminaba, la mía apenas iba a comenzar, así que muchas veces yo esperaba afuera antes de entrar. Un día, mientras Andrew pasaba junto a mí, lo escuché decir: “Qué bonitas piernas.” Me tomó totalmente por sorpresa y solo respondí: “¿Gracias?” sin saber muy bien cómo reaccionar a lo que pensé que era un cumplido. Al día siguiente, secretamente esperaba que volviera a hablarme, así que me arreglé temprano y me aseguré de llegar antes de que saliera de su clase. Y sí, ahí estaba él. Lo vi pasar frente a mí… pero esta vez no dijo nada. Recuerdo haberme sentido confundida mientras lo veía llegar al final del pasillo, hasta que de repente se dio la vuelta y regresó. Cuando se acercó a mí, me pidió que anotara su número y le mandara un mensaje. Y bueno, como pueden imaginarse, ya que hoy estamos aquí, claro que le mandé mensaje. Desde ese momento seguimos en contacto y nuestra conexión fue creciendo poco a poco. Después, durante la pandemia y mientras todo estaba en cuarentena, nos acercamos aún más y comenzamos oficialmente nuestra relación. Esa etapa de nuestras vidas nos llevó a recibir una de las mayores bendiciones: nuestra hermosa hija, Aria, quien nació en el 2022. Yo realmente creo en el tiempo perfecto de Dios, y nuestra hija ha sido una bendición enorme para los dos. Ella nos ha enseñado amor, fortaleza, paciencia y lo que realmente significa crecer juntos, no solo como padres, sino también como pareja. Ahora estamos más emocionados que nunca de comenzar este nuevo capítulo y unir nuestras vidas en matrimonio frente a Dios y todas las personas que más amamos. Estamos muy agradecidos de poder compartir este momento tan especial con todos ustedes.
