We met through my cousin, who introduced us. I added Karina on Facebook, and the day after she accepted my request, we started talking. That’s really when our love story began.
My first impression of her was that she was incredibly kind. She brought me a present and baked banana bread. She felt genuine, like she was truly being herself with me, and she was easy to talk to. And of course, I was immediately attracted to her.
One of our funniest moments together was when we went on a date where we had to paint each other. She laughed so hard when she saw my painting of her, but when I looked at hers, it actually looked like me! It ended up being one of our favorite dates.
We share a love for sports like badminton, tennis, and ping pong, but our biggest shared passion is supporting each other’s growth. We push each other to be better, and that’s what strengthens our relationship.
Before I left for Toronto, I already knew I wanted to propose. I had the ring ready and planned everything with help from my cousins and aunt. When they picked me up to travel to Montreal for my cousin’s wedding, we stopped at a beautiful garden in Burlington. That’s where I asked her to marry me and hearing her say yes was the happiest moment of my life!
