"I Do, Me Too! Now Let's Party!"

Well this is a funny story of "it was you, not me!" Back in 2013, Adrian was scrolling through Instagram and spotted an Arizona State blondie on his "Explore" page. Adrian immediately clicked on her profile and added her as a "friend." Karina received a notification and saw "Adrian's" friend request. Karina saw Adrian's photo and said, "oh, he is a cute!" and accepted his friend request. Now, you would think they would slide in each other's DM's, but NOPE, that did not happen. Now, Adrian thinks this story is the other way around and claims Karina "added" him as a "friend." You decide who you want to believe haha. Now, let's take it back some time. Adrian lived in Phoenix, AZ for the majority of his childhood and went to Arizona State his freshman year. Adrian moved to California and attended Cal State Fullerton. Karina grew up in Arizona and moved to California in 2013 to attend Pepperdine University for graduate school. At the time of the "friend request," Adrian was living in California and was unsure as to where Karina lived as she was always traveling back and forth to Arizona to visit her family and traveling the world. In the year of 2017, Adrian was in a serious relationship and Karina would see it on her Instagram page. They eventually broke up and Adrian then moved to Chino Hills, CA. During this time, Karina was living in Corona, CA which is about 20 minutes away from where Adrian was living. Karina and Adrian were friends for years on Instagram, with just "liking" each others pictures was their only interaction. One day, Karina was talking with one of her best friends and she suggested Karina join the dating app, Bumble! Karina was hesitant, but gave it a try. As Karina was swiping through, she saw Adrian Mundo! Karina swiped "right" in which they made an instant connection, started dating on May 2, 2018 and the rest is history! Adrian proposed in front of his family, Karina's closet friends and family in Temecula, CA. They then eloped 10/23/2020!

Due to COVID-19, Karina and Adrian had to put their original wedding plans on hold as they wanted to keep their family and friends safe. Karina and Adrian wanted to keep their original wedding date, so they eloped in Santa Barbara, CA with their immediate family present. With family and friends receiving the COVID-19 vaccines and restrictions being lifted, Karina and Adrian feel it is safe and a better time to celebrate with their loved ones. Karina and Adrian will have a wedding ceremony and reception to celebrate and renew their vows on their one year anniversary!
