Our Story
Karina and Joel’s story began at Harvard Elementary, two kids unknowingly destined for each other. Years later, fate brought them back together in high school, where their friendship quickly blossomed. Though college first sent them down different paths -Karina to HBU and Joel to UHD - their bond never wavered. A simple sorority formal invitation turned into their first date, and by December 2016, Joel asked Karina to be his girlfriend. Both eventually transferred to the University of Houston’s Bauer College of Business, where their love deepened through late-night study sessions, early mornings, and shared dreams for the future. On November 2, 2024, Joel got down on one knee and asked Karina to be his forever. Now, they begin the next chapter of a love story that feels beautifully written in the stars.
