Karim and Chelsea met at a lovely little store called Mardel. Though, it was not love at first sight. In fact, neither one was entirely fond of the other. As they became friends, however, each saw that the other was someone they quite enjoyed being around. After a short period of time, Karim FINALLY asked Chelsea on their first date. The plan was amazingly romantic (a stroll through the Festival of Lights) but the date did not go as planned. Instead, they ended up seeing a movie and playing some pool (very badly in Chelsea's case). Not quite as romantic as he had planned, but winging it was way more fun. Their first Valentine's Day was spent at a Bible study with some of the youth from CT Church. This was Chelsea's first glimpse into how much Karim cared for the youth and how they loved him. After a few months of dating she decided to join him at his church for Easter, and then never left. They became more involved in the CT-Youth and Fine Arts. In fact, after asking for her father's blessing in the middle of a T-Mobile store, Karim chose a youth service as the perfect opportunity to pop the question! That night was so full of excitement and joy as Chelsea turned away from the video and saw Karim down on one knee, smiling with the ring in hand. Although this couple has never done things in the conventional sense, they enjoy every moment of their quite orginal style of life. The love they have for one another is never in question and is ever evolving.
