Kari's father interviewed Nick and when Kari asked how it went, he responded with "we should hire him, he shoots ducks." Shortly after Nick started working at the company with Kari on the same production team. There was an instant connection and the rest is history.

We were relaxing on the couch watching Christmas with the Krantz. Nick asked what she was going to wear for the holiday party the next day. After she told him, Nick thought something was missing and pulled out the ring. He asked, "would you like to wear this?" At first, Kari thought he was joking, but quickly realized it was and burst into tears of happiness.
