Let’s go on a hike… it will be fun. That is how it started we hiked up to a tea house by Lake Louise. Were we prepared? No. Did we end up hiking with some other people because they had bear spray? Yes. We hiked to the wrong more challenging route to the tea house. It snowed in the middle of June and we did think one of us would fall off the mountain. After hiking 9 miles I was tired, hungry, and cranky. Matt on the other hand was oddly ready for a photo opp. being someone who hates taking pictures I was very confused and annoyed. Not only did he want to take a picture in front of Lake Louse (our first time at the lake with plenty more opportunities to take a photo during the week) he wanted someone who “looked like they knew how to take a photo.” He finally found someone and we went to pose for our picture. Matt then started to get on one knee and I said “what are you doing?” Followed up with “yes of course” the never heard. The girl who took our photo was just as excited as us and shared that she got engaged the week before. 3 years later we are finally planning the wedding and excited to share it with you! -Kari
