We met at the University of Kansas and were part of the same friend group throughout college. Brian’s thoughts: I knew pretty early on that there was something different about Kari. She was the life of the party, always funny, and had a way of making any room feel brighter. I knew she was someone I wanted to spend more time with. I like to think I realized it first, but that’s still up for debate. Kari’s thoughts: I’m convinced I actually made "the first move". There was just something about Brian that made me want to be around him. Our conversations always flowed so easily, and I don’t think I’ve ever smiled more. By senior year, we officially started dating and that's where our story really began!
Brian had been planning this day for months. He wanted it to be somewhere truly special, our happy place in Manzanita, Oregon. He thought he had everything perfectly mapped out… but of course, I unknowingly threw in a few curveballs. We were supposed to head to dinner, but instead our dinner plans got "pushed back" so we decided to go to the beach and catch the sunset. That’s where Brian proposed! It was truly a day we'll never forget and a place that is so special to us!
We feel so lucky to have the best family and friends by our side and can’t thank you enough for being such an important part of our lives. Your love and support mean the world to us, and we couldn’t imagine celebrating this next chapter without you. We are counting down the days until July 31st, it’s going to be the most special day!!!! We can’t wait to celebrate, laugh, and make memories with all of you! :)
