We're getting married where it all began! In August 2021, Kari had planned a simple weekend to visit her best friend and had no idea she was about to meet her future husband (Sammy didn't know it either, but we still give her props). What started as a casual trip quickly turned into three unforgettable days and nights filled with laughter, late-night swing dancing and piano playing, floating the river (only just slightly hungover), and a first sushi date. From the start, being together felt natural. What stood out most was how easy it was, grounded in mutual respect and genuine comfort in each other's presence. After many trips back and forth between Portland and Seattle, Kari eventually made the move north, and we began building a life together in Seattle. These days, you can usually find us on a golf course, at a Seahawks game as proud season ticket holders, or spending time with our friends and family. And from the very beginning, Bibi (our English cream retriever) has been part of it all. Kari met her the same weekend she met Andrew and fell for her just as quickly. Bend will always hold a special place in our story, and we're grateful to begin this next chapter right where it all started!
