Adam and I met while working at Morristown Medical Center in 2016. I was assigned as Adam’s preceptor for part of his orientation where he was cross trained to my unit. During the 6 weeks of us working together side by side we developed a friendship. About a year into our friendship we were spending more and more time together. We started going on trips and vacations together. We were grateful to have each other’s friendship and soon began to fall in love.

Adam proposed on November 2, 2019 while we were vacationing in Aruba. What happened on the second night of our vacation in Aruba was something I never saw coming. The morning of 11/2/2019, Adam drove me in our rental car about an hour away from our resort to a beach called ‘Baby Beach’. It was the most amazing morning. We literally had the beach to ourselves. Here we were just two tourists enjoying this beautiful private beach in Aruba. About two hours later, there were a few more people (like 10) enjoying Aruba’s hidden gem, Baby Beach. We snorkeled and relaxed until it was time to go for lunch. After lunch, we went back to our resort and enjoyed our afternoon floating on tubes in the incredible calm, warm Aruba ocean. Talk about a picture perfect day. Little did I know it was about to get even better.... That night for dinner we went to a restaurant called The Flying Fishbone. We had a perfect front row view of the sun setting. We were seated at a table that was submerged in about 1 foot of ocean water. After a few minutes, the waitress came to our table to take our dinner order and Adam stood up and asked her to take a picture and I said to Adam, we can wait.. she’s so busy. He insisted. So here I am getting ready to pose and little did I know our waitress was in on Adam’s big secret plans. It was right then he tried to get down on one knee but his shorts started getting wet as we were standing in about 1-2 feet of water. So, he tried to kneel and pulls out a ring box and opens it. My jaw dropped, I was speechless. He said, “I’m sorry but I can’t kneel down any further, will you marry me?” My response, “OMG Adam, really?!” (I was in total shock) but then of course I shook my head up and down and said “YES!” about 1000 times. The guests dining at the other tables cheered and applauded. That was the BEST day of my life. I spent the rest of our vacation on *Cloud 9*

Adam and I booked a date and wedding venue back in January of 2020. And then we all know what happened next..... COVID. So with all of life’s new uncertainties came the uncertainty of how will we navigate a way to get married and have a wedding during a pandemic? We did at one point lose hope and let our venue know we had decided to cancel our plans. It wasn’t until just recently in the middle of February we reached out to our venue and they let us know our date was still ours as no one had booked that date. Now knowing our date was still ours, we decided we would host our wedding but in a way we felt would be safest for our family and friends. That brings us to today. We feel so blessed to be able to host a wedding in the safest way we could think. First, we decided to host a smaller amount of guests including closest family and friends. We also decided to do a cocktail reception to encourage social distancing. Lastly, we decided we want to party but we want to party like we are in a pandemic so please wear a mask when possible, sanitize often, keep a safe distance, & enjoy! We can not wait for you to be there to help celebrate our *Big Day*. For guests who do not feel comfortable to attend our wedding in person, our videographer will be *live streaming* our wedding ceremony! We will update this website with a link to the live stream of our wedding Ceremony on June 13th at 3pm ❤️
