Your love, laughter, and presence on our wedding day is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to bless us with a gift, a contribution to a new bed would be greatly appreciated!
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Guests should arrive in between 3:00pm and 3:45pm to allow enough time to park and get seated.
There is not a dress code. The only thing we ask is that you wear comfortable shoes. It will be an outdoor ceremony, and the ground may be soft.
Kids are welcome. There will not be childcare provided so please make sure that your children are being supervised.
Yes, there is on-sight parking available. Please follow the parking signs, there will also be someone directing people where to park. If you need to park further away, we will have transportation to bring you closer to our ceremony. There is also handicapped parking available to those that need it. Please let us know if you are in need of handicapped parking so we can reserve those spots for you.
We have a block of rooms at the river hills hotel in Mankato. If you choose this hotel, ask for the Denn Jacobs wedding block. We are having pulled pork sandwiches, a couple different cold salads, baked beans, and potato chips. This is the only option available at our reception. Please make prior accommodations if you do not eat pork.
We are not providing transportation to or from our wedding. Please make prior accommodations especially if you are going to be drinking. There are Ubers and Lyfts in the area but our wedding is located about 15 minutes outside of Mankato.
Yes. We have ordered 2 porta-potties for our event. We have a regular porta-pottie as well as a handicapped accessible porta-pottie. The house will be off limits to our guests.
During the ceremony the first 3 rows on both sides are reserved for our immediate families but all other seats are open. Dinner is also open seating!
Yes. There is a ramp going into the barn for easy access to all of our guests.
Yes. We ask that you dispose of your cigarettes appropriately. There is also no smoking allowed in the barn/dance area or the tent/dinner area.
Yes. We will not be providing alcohol, it is B.Y.O.B. We just ask that you drink responsibly, do NOT bring glass bottles, and have transportation lined up prior to the end of the night. We want our guests to have fun, let loose, and enjoy themselves! We will be serving water, and lemon water.
